Get morning light
Within 30-60 minutes of waking, get outside for light. About 10 minutes on a bright day, 20 minutes if cloudy, 30 minutes if heavily overcast. No sunglasses (glasses and contacts are fine). Never stare at anything painfully bright.
+Why this works
Morning light hits your eyes and sets your internal clock for the day, which fixes the timing of the hormones that make you alert now and sleepy about 16 hours later. This is the single strongest lever you have over sleep.
